How is this different from open-source Arelle?
Arelle is the validation engine inside Doc2iXBRL, not a separate tool you install. Validation runs inside your filing workflow on every save, alongside SBR/ESEF filing rules and reviewer sign-off.
Which filing rule sets are checked?
SBR Filing Rules (fr-nl) for Dutch GAAP/KVK packages and ESEF rule sets for IFRS filings. Firm-tier workspaces can add custom rule sets.
When does validation run?
On every change to your filing. Results are retained per filing so you can see what changed between runs.
What happens when validation fails?
Failures surface inline with the rule code and location. Fix mappings or values in the reviewer, then re-run validation before export.
Can we export the validation history?
Yes. Export a PDF audit log of validation runs for your filing records or auditor review.
